QuickBooks Accounting Software creates an avenue where you can export your Lists (Items, Chart of Accounts, and Suppliers etc.) from one QuickBooks Data File to another QuickBooks Data File.

This process is an easy and error free procedure in QuickBooks.
Follow the steps below.

1) Click ‘File’ at the menu bar and select ‘Open or Restore Company’ from the drop down list in order to open the company file where you want to export the list 



2) After opening the company file where you want to export, click ‘File’ at the menu bar and select ‘Utilities’ from the drop down list, Export, Lists of  IFF Files… 


3) The ‘Export’ window below appears.
Select the lists you would like to export. 

Click OK to continue.

4) Enter the File name in the box. Click ‘Save’ to continue. 

An Information message window appears saying that your data has been exported successfully. 
Click OK 




To Import the IFF Files to another QuickBooks Data File, follow the steps below:

1) Click ‘File’ at the menu bar, click 'Open or Restore Company’ in order to open the company file you want to import the exported list.  


2) After opening the company file where you want to import, click ‘File’ at the menu bar and select ‘Utilities’ from the drop down list, Import, IFF Files… 


3) The ‘Import’ window below appears 


Double Click on the saved file ‘Suppliers List’ or you click the suppliers file and click
‘OPEN’

 4) An Information message window appears showing that your list has been imported
successfully.
