Create Auto Purchase Order in QuickBooks

When your Inventory Quantity on hand is lesser than your Reorder Point, QuickBooks creates an avenue where you can easily order for the inventories in batch by Auto Purchase Order. QuickBooks helps in simplifying your inventory process by creating purchase orders in batch.

To create an auto purchase order, follow the steps below.

1) Click ‘Reports’ at the menu bar, select ‘Stock’ from the drop down list, another drop down list appears after clicking ‘Stock’. Click ‘Stock Status by Item’ 

2) The ‘Stock Status by Item’ window below appears.
Click ‘Create Auto PO’s at the top of the window to continue 

3) The ‘Create Auto PO’s window below appears. 

A: The Create Auto PO’s window

B: Set the date or leave default

C: Click ‘Select All’ if you want to create a purchase order for all the inventory or choosing the one you want to purchase by ticking the box behind the item

D: These are the list of the inventories whose quantity on hand is lesser that the Reorder point

E: Click the drop down arrow by selecting the supplier for each item from the drop down list

F: The point whereby the items needs to be reordered are listed here

G: The items quantity of hand as at the date are listed here

H: The items quantity on purchase order is listed here.

 I: Fill in the box the quantity you want to order for each item

J: Note: The ‘Create POs’ is blunt because none of the items are selected. Select an item and it get sharpens.

Click ‘Create POs’ after filling in the necessary information. 

To confirm, go to ‘Transaction’ at the ‘Supplier’s Centre’

2
